Hi Lifestyler,

Would you agree, almost all motivational teachers, although well meaning, urge you to think outrageously big?

Let's face it, that's not a secret but that sort of thinking sounds 'airy-fairy' and it's just like asking you to leap over a tall building in a single bound.

You might send yourself soaring higher, and that's all good and proper in theory...right!

Although big thinking is definitely part of a more advanced technique, it really only applies if you know what to do and how to do it.

It's true, any goal can be achieved, but only if you believe it's possible...it'll happen.

But then again, there lies the biggest problem because in most cases you just don't beleive it's possible!

Want an absolutely effective method for reaching your next goal in only five minutes a day?

Here is a simple five step-by-step solution which always works for me.

Thinking outrageously big works if you're already confident in using the power to clearly see and feel (manifest) but if you're new to using this untapped mind power, thinking big actually is a disaster in the making.

For example:

Step One: If you haven't had a 'hole-in-one' in five years, you'd find it extremely difficult to visualize yourself scoring high against the likes of Tiger Woods.

Instead of setting yourself up for a big fall, pick an easier but worthwhile (obtainable) goal which is just beyond your present comfort level...

What I mean by worthwhile is make it reasonably easy so you can accomplish it within a few months.

You might want to aim for just one hole-in one in the next three weeks.

Ok, it's dosen't feel as exciting or thrilling, but it's a major step towards a better golfing career.

Want to dramatically increase your swing?

Instead of visualizing suddenly winning a major pro event, start with a small goal of increasing your swing by 10 per cent.

Measuring 10 per cent can be achieved by giving yourself a clear and direct way to reduce the amount of shots played subtracting this from the previous overall score.

Consistent small improvements are the name of the winning game in golf.

It actually helps being able to see the points being lowered on your score card.

Start with small steps and consistently build on your successes, instead of going for the big hole-in-one and missing every time...make sense?

Step Two: Clearly give your mind direct instructions.

Keep the goal in your sight, every morning write down and read out a loud your goal.

A good way to move beyond your normal range is to reprogram your thinking by writing a short sentence to clearly tie in your emotional feelings with future vison to express a goal in your mind.

Your mind is a complex most dynamic piece of organic equipment. It's always searching for an answer or a solution.

What ever you feel is the underlieing trigger for your actions.

Nothing changes faster than your thoughts. A goal you set up today could easily be overtaken by something new tomorrow.

You're directly and indirectly manipulating the results whether you realize the outcome or not.

Your thought patterns are related to habits which resonate in stages.

Unless you know about those stages, you're left staring and scratching your head wondering what's going on.

For example:

"I'm now attracting (goal)"

"I'm now creating (goal)"

or...

"I will now (goal)"

"I now intend (goal)"

For example:

"I'm now attracting a smoother and effortless swing in my game."

"I will now increase my swing by 10% more power each month."

"I'm now creating better results with higher confidence."

It's really all about expressing your emotional energy in ways that compliment your action and you do this by creating your own set of scripts or instructions (words to program your thinking)

The important thing is that when you say it, your emotional state agrees with the statement.

These words are called affirmation....nothing new but don't kid yourself, are you actually using affirmations in your daily actions?

For example:

"I'm now sinking a hole-in-one every day" doesn't work if you're not sinking a hole-in-one every day because you immediately see and feel it's a lie....you're not fooling anyone...make sense?

An affirmation or statement that brings you into present action like:

"I'm now attracting..."

or

"I now intend..."

Rings true (at least while you are saying it), and holds no contradiction in your emotions.

Step Three: Celebrate your success

After writing your goal, mentally place yourself in the future to a day when your goal has been accomplished.

In other words live and breathe it, chrge your emotions and bring the sensations full of life.

Feel the happiness and excitement you'll be feeling knowing you've accomplished your goal.

Feel the happiness, feel the success, feel the proud accomplishment of knowing that you can use your own inner power to change your life.

Step Four: Ask for help in the present (now) from your future self

While you're enjoying that feeling of celebrating now, look back to today from that future moment and ask yourself what single action you can take today, to bring your goal to you faster.
The future which has accomplished your goal knows what steps need to be taken.

Ask yourself the question what's the next most practical action you can take now and from this vantage point, you can see the answer.

Then write it down, and take that action at some point during the day.

Taking action is key, no matter how small, it's the fastest and surest way to convince your subconscious mind that you're serious.

This will do wonders for the quick manifestation of your goals.

Step Five: Repetition creates a new comfort level so choose the same thing every day.

Work on only one goal at a time, and don't change goals unless you decide you no longer want the one you started working on.

If you no longer want the goal, choose a new one and start again. But if you do want your original, don't stop until you have it.

Lack of direction without persistence is the number one reason why you'll not reach your goals.

If you give up before you reach your goal, you obviously don't want it very much, do you?

Pick a goal that you cannot live without, and start again.

This only takes about 5 or 10 minutes and works flawlessly.

The key is to do it with belief, that means it's a worthwhile conviction and meaningful to you.
