Steps To Success: I Want More Out Of Life Part -1

Steps to success

What is personal power or empowerment?

Power is a fascinating and often misunderstood concept, read on to find out more...

Hey Lifestyler,

Thanks for your time, I appreciate you.

In general, power involves the capacity to cause something to happen, and effect change.

Some people often misunderstand and mistake force with power.

OK. So really...what is personal power?

And more importantly what are the dangers of using force instead of power?

Now, let me ask you a two prong question: "Why do you think personal power will benefit you and why is it necessary to develop being powerful?"

Interesting, isn't it?

Well, allow me to entertain this thought and discuss why it's not about force, pushing or fighting.

Many people assume that to accomplish anything meaningful requires going into battle. In other words, it demands pushing yourself or using force.

Force is energy and it can certainly prove to be an effective tool, especially in the short run.

Having said that, applying force isn't going to allow you to flow because it is distorted thinking to believe that force is required.

Look, it is as simple as that...

It is true that force, whether used in relationships, or in a work situation or even when attempting change yourself can work for a time, and in fact work quite well.

Here's the difference...force creates counter force and then locks you in when these two forces collide.

In work or relationships, the counter force generally takes the form of resistance.

This manifests into disagreements or outright hostility, cloaked in gossip, passive aggressive acts and quiet resistance.

Using this kind of forcefulness is counter productive because force is the stubborn side of the personality that wants what it wants when it wants it and isn't happy about not getting its way.

The problem is that results of these actions (based on force) leavethe user in a mental state of vulnerability, because people never feel satisfied, even if they win, there is guilt associated with it.

No doubt about it, this is due to the high emotional costs that comes with the 'win'...

Let's break this down and delve a little deeper and understand the reason why people choose to use 'brute' force:
  • Simply, it works, it's easy and indeed effective
  • Some people find it easier to hit and punch when they want something
  • Instead of using words to express themselves, they use force
  • Forceful people feel that the ends justify the means
  • Force accomplished their mission or objective
  • Force gives people the power or permission to yell
  • Be annoyed
  • Use other forceful measures in the name of what they want

In other words"mission accomplished"...

Think about it and compare the end results.

Stay tuned for Part-2, talk with you soon.

Steps To Success: Are You Feeling Stuck Part -2

Steps To Success

Change is an opportunity for you to get real and committed, to actually take control of your decision and way of life, and create an extraordinary result.

What would happen if you actually followed through on your plans?

Well, tell me if you feel this is true...

Hello Lifestyler,

Have you thought about your life if you changed your job?

If you changed your body or changed your look?

If you changed whatever it is that YOU want and actually went in the direction you really want to go!

It won't happen if you don't change the way you use your mind (if it hasn't happened up till now, right? So what's going to change?).

If you keep playing the same old tunes in your head, and you get the same old music then something needs to change.

Yes...

You need to change.

And it needs to happen intellectually and emotionally.

It's the only way to make change last.

There is a saying that success is all in the power of momentum.

If you're serious about creating the momentum to master your own decisions, then you simply must be clear and absolute about your next step.

It's like going to the gym - you can't get physically fit in a weekend, you need to keep going back to build up your emotional muscles.

Here's what you may want to consider:

  • Breakthrough to your next level of achievement
  • Gain absolute clarity and maximise your efforts
  • Determine and plan the next action steps you need to take
  • Tap into your inner energy, passion and inspiration and go for it...

You've got to feel you're the one who can make it happen and you can't ask for a better time to start than right NOW.

If you truly want change in your life...and you just can't get it happening, then do what you would do if you were trying to play better at sport...get a coach.

Thanks for reading and taking action, I appreciate you.

Steps To Success: Are You Feeling Stuck Part -1

Steps To Success

May I ask you a three part very important question:

Do ever get sick of trying to get ahead, only to lose your way?

Do you lose steam?

Do you lose interest?

Hi Lifestyler,

How are you doing, thanks for your valuable time...

The only reason I ask, because you've good intentions, yet for one reason or another something always seems to crop up and then you find it damned hard to follow through, right?

I hear you saying...

"Yeah, but when I decided I would actually reach my goal ... or take a specific action ... I felt really confident, pumped up with excitement about it..."

"Yeah, but I still lost my drive?"

Has this ever happened to you?

Think for a moment and anwer honestly.

If so, then you need to listen up...

I know where you're coming from and it's frustrating isn't it?

Well, I can show you why it happens, and let me say it's got nothing to do with your abilities because the main reason is everything to do with what you're thinking.

You see your mind-set controls everything:

1) How you THINK about something, determines how you FEEL about it
2) How you FEEL about something, determines whether you DO it or DON'T DO

Hmmm just maybe this is hold true for you:
  • You get up in the morning in a different mood than the night before
  • Suddenly you don't feel as committed to that decision you made
  • It can really affect your results in a huge way

Now how good would your life be if you were actually doing all the things that you wanted to?
